Raayan Trailer: Dhanush Sees Red In Blood-Soaked Revenge Saga | Watch

The much-awaited trailer of Dhanush’s 50th film, Raayan, has finally been released. It offers a sneak peek into the main character’s life as he delves into the underworld to avenge his family's murder.

The trailer hints at a dramatic journey filled with intense action, graphic violence and thrilling moments. Initially announced in January 2023 as D50 to mark Dhanush's milestone 50th film as a lead actor, the official title was revealed in February 2024. Now, the trailer of Raayan has been unveiled, showcasing Dhanush in a gripping and intense performance that promises to leave audiences on the edge of their seats.

Dhanush gets into action mode

The trailer features Dhanush in an intense and manic role as he takes on a wave of enemies. Dhanush stars as the protagonist exploring the dark world of crime as a young man bent on avenging his family's tragic fate. In the film, Sundeep Kishan and Kalidas Jayaram star as Dhanush's brothers. 

Dushara Vijayan and Aparna Balamurali play the female leads, though their characters have not been revealed yet. AR Rahman’s background score in the trailer adds to the anticipation, promising a captivating musical experience throughout the film.

Dhanush directs his milestone film

Raayan is Dhanush's second directorial venture following the 2017 film Pa Paandi,  and his 50th film as an actor. The upcoming thriller features Dhanush, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, SJ Suryah, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Aparna Balamurali in prominent roles, with Prakash Raj and Dushara Vijayan also appearing in important roles. Raayan will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Om Prakash is the cinematographer and Prasanna GK is handling the editing. Produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures, Raayan’s release date has been postponed from mid-June to July 26.
