However, the real buzz is around his next project, Thalaivar 170, directed by the acclaimed filmmaker TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame. With sky-high expectations, this movie's cast, subject and other details have become a hot topic of discussion among cinephiles.

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan claimed that the shooting for Thalaivar 170 is slated to commence in October 2023. Rajinikanth will be shooting for 50 days for the film. Adding to the excitement, popular actor Nani is rumoured to have a 20-minute role in the film, which has got his fans curious about his character's significance in the plot.

Recently, Rajinikanth was snapped with celebrity stylist Aalim Hakim in Mumbai sporting a new look. Reports suggested that he got a look test done for Thailavar 170.
