Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s fees in Amaran
Amaran takes inspiration from the lives of Major Mukund Varadarajan and his wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese, sparking curiosity about their real-life journey. According to reports, Sai Pallavi has charged ₹3 crore for doing Amaran. While Sivakarthikeyan has reportedly earned ₹30 crore for his role in Amaran. Several reports have suggested that the Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi starrer has mounted to a budget of ₹120 crores.
Amaran is based on real life couple
The biopic is adapted from the book India’s Most Fearless by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. It seeks to honour not just a soldier but a real-life hero's sacrifices and emotional struggles. Amaran chronicles the journey of Major Mukund and Indhu from their first meeting in college to marriage and beyond.
Mukund Varadarajan was born on April 12, 1983, in Tambaram, Tamil Nadu to a Tamil-speaking Brahmin family. Coming from a family with a strong military tradition from his grandfather and two uncles who served in the armed forces, he felt motivated to follow a similar path. Mukund graduated from Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya and obtained a diploma in journalism from Madras Christian College. His desire to serve the country led him to enlist in the army.
