Arjun Sarja’s daughter Aishwarya Arjun and comedian Thambi Ramaiah’s son Umapathy Ramaiah have tied the knot in a traditional and intimate ceremony in Chennai. Photos from the couple’s pre-wedding festivities, including the haldi and mehendi celebrations, have been widely shared on social media over the past week.

The pre-wedding celebrations started on June 7 with the haldi and mehendi events. For the haldi, Aishwarya wore a simple yet elegant white anarkali dress with minimal makeup and accessories. At the mehendi, she opted for a vibrant yellow outfit by Anamika Khanna, accessorized with golden earrings, while Umapathy wore a classy black outfit.

According to Pinkvilla, the wedding reception is scheduled for June 14 at Leela Palace in Chennai, starting at 6:30 pm.
Aishwarya and Umapathy's love story
Aishwarya and Umapathy first met on the reality show Survivor, hosted by Aishwarya’s father Arjun Sarja. Their friendship quickly blossomed into a relationship, and they got engaged in October last year in a ceremony attended by close friends and family.

Aishwarya Arjun debuted in the Tamil film industry in 2013 with Pattathu Yaanai, directed by Boopathy Pandian and starring Vishal. She also appeared in the Hindi-Tamil bilingual film Prema Baraha/Sollidava, directed by her father, featuring Chandan Kumar in the lead role.
Umapathy Ramaiah made his debut in 2017 with the film Adhagappattathu Magajanangalay, directed by Inbasekhar, and was last seen in the 2021 film Thanne Vandi.
