Khushbu Sundar Rubbishes Reports Of Aranmanai 5, Says 'First Look, Star Cast, Everything Is Fake’

Khushbu Sundar penned a hard-hitting note slamming all those spreading fake information regarding Aranmanai 5 in the works.

Aranmanai is one of the successful comedy horror franchises in the South cinema. So far, the makers have churned out four sequels and there have been rumours that the fifth installment is in the pipeline. It was claimed director Sundar C is working on the next installment after several posters went viral on the internet. However, Khushbu Sundar, the producer, has rubbished the rumours calling them "fake".

Taking to her X handle, Khushbu penned a hard-hitting note slamming all those spreading fake information regarding Aranmanai 5 in the works. "There have been a lot of speculations and news circulating about the successful and the biggest entertainer of tamil cinema, #Aranmanai, getting ready for its 5th franchise. Pictures, startcast, firstlook, poster designs, and all. Everything is fake. Anyone doing business with anybody regarding this film will be doing so at their own risk. #SundarC & @AvniCinemax_ will reach out to you directly when we plan to do the movie. Till then, await #GANGERS . Coming soon," she wrote.

She also shared a viral poster of Aranmanai 5 and wrote in bold "FAKE".

All about the Aranmanai film series

Directed by Sundar C, consisting of Aranmanai (2014), Aranmanai 2 (2016), Aranmanai 3 (2021) and Aranmanai 4 (2024). All films were successful at the box office, continuing the trend of the comedy horror genre in Kollywood that began with Chandramukhi (2005). The recent installment collected  ₹50 crores worldwide in its first week and reached ₹75 crores by the end of the second week. The film grossed ₹100.50 crore at the box office during its theatrical run.
