In the 1 minute and 42-second trailer, Vijay Sethupathi’s character, Maharaja, is depicted as an ordinary barber who runs a salon in KK Nagar. The plot thickens when someone steals Lakshmi from his house, prompting him to approach the police to file an FIR. The mystery of Lakshmi’s identity adds a comedic element, as it’s revealed to be neither a person nor valuables like money or gold.

As the trailer progresses, a police officer asks Vijay to describe Lakshmi, leading to confusion about whether it is a girl, money, or some document. Maharaja's attempts to explain what Lakshmi is, through amusing gestures, leave viewers in splits. He even warns the police to find his Lakshmi, hinting at further twists to be revealed in the film.
