Mark Antony actor Vishal comes clean on the viral New York video with mystery woman

Actor Vishal, whose previous release Mark Antony created big ripples at the box office, recently found himself making headlines for altogether unrelated reasons. A video of him had gone viral where the actor could be seen taking a late night stroll in New York with a woman. While the identity of woman remains unknown, it nonetheless created a lot of curiosity, even leading to rumours and speculation that it was Vishal’s girlfriend. However, the actor has now issued a clarification on the video.

Vishal confirmed him being in viral video

Taking to his Instagram page, Vishal penned a long note giving further clarity about the video. The actor wrote in his note, “ Well well well, it’s half true in terms of location, yes I am in New York which is my regular retreat place with my cousins, which is a ritual of destressing myself every year after a super chaotic rest of the year.”

The actor went on to clarify in his post that video was shot by a bunch of his cousins on Christmas day, who directed, enacted and executed the video as a prank. The actor even confirmed that he was one of the co-conspirators of the prank as well. Elaborating on the same, Vishal added, “Always brings the kid in me which is a good feeling n decided to do it and putting an end to all u #detectives speculations. Well of course some were bang on target. But no hard feelings. Love ya all.”

Although Vishal did not clarify who the woman was in the video, he did confirm that it was all a prank. 

Vishal was recently also part of headlines after he had accused a few Censor board authorities of asking for bribe in return for providing clearance certificate to the Hindi dub version of his Tamil film Mark Antony. Vishal is currently busy shooting for his film Rathnam which is expected to be completed by January 2024.
