Nayanthara reviews Siddharth's Chittha, calls it actor's 'best ever' film

Nayanthara, who recently completed her 20 years in the film industry, has been very active on Instagram of late. The actress joined the social media platform earlier this year, and has been frequently posting updates about her movies and endorsements. In a recent post, Nayanthara took to Instagram to praise her colleague and actor-producer Siddharth’s latest film production Chittha, which released in September theatrically, and had its OTT premiere two months later.

Taking to her Instagram stories section, Nayanthatra penned a note talking about Chittha. The Jawan actress posted, “Chitha. One of the bestt films OF 2023 !!!! @worldofsiddharth this ur best ever. Director Arunkumar-what an incredible piece of art u have created. Sending a big hug to the entire cast n crew who made all of this possible for Arun n Sid.”

Nayanthara also took the opportunity to praise the music of the film, composed by notable music director Santosh Narayanan.

Chithha which translates to Uncle in Tamil follows the journey of Eeswaran, a middle-class government employee from Palani who shares a very close relationship with his 9-year-old niece Sundari. However, their world is turned upside down when Eeswaran is accused of a sexual offence, and soon her niece goes missing. This later sets him off on a mission to find his niece and save her. Besides Siddharth in a prominent role, Chittha also features actors like Nimisha Sajayan (Tamil debut), Baby Sahasra Shree, Baby S Aafiyah Tasneem, Anjali Nair among others.

It must be noted that while Nayanthara and Siddharth have never shared screen earlier, the two will be seen collaborating soon on an upcoming project titled Test. The film, which also stars R. Madhavan, is being directed by notable producer S.Sashikanth who would be making his directorial debut with Test.
