Rajinikanth Discharged From Chennai Hospital After Cardiac Procedure, Two Weeks Rest Advised
Rajinikanth Discharged: The superstar was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai for an elective procedure and has now been discharged, as per reports.
Rajinikanth Discharged: The superstar was rushed to a private hospital in Chennai on September 30. He was admitted after complaining of stomach ache and underwent an elective cardiac procedure. After spending 3 days in the hospital, Thalaaivar is now home.
Rajinikanth discharged from hospital
As per reports, Rajinikanth came home from Apollo Hospital in Chennai on October 3. The actor was discharged at 11 pm after a successful cardiac procedure. After the procedure, the Coolie actor was kept under observation for two days.
As per reports, Rajinikanth has been advised to take strict rest for two weeks. The actor is gearing up for the release of his Vettaiyan which will release on October 10. Following the advised rest, he will resume work on Lokesh Kanagraj's directorial Coolie.
Rajinikanth undergoes elective cardiac procedure
Rajinikanth was admitted to Appolo Hospital on Monday. "The actor had swelling in a blood vessel connecting to the heart and was treated by a non-surgical trans catheter method," the hospital said in a statement.
The statement further said: "Senior interventional cardiologist Sai Satish placed a stent in the aorta completely sealing off the swelling (Endovascular Repair). We would like to let his well-wishers and fans know that the procedure went, as planned. Rajinikanth is stable and doing well. He should be home in two days." In 2020, Rajinikanth was admitted to a private hospital due to fluctuations in his blood pressure. He was later discharged and advised one month's rest. The Tamil actor also had a carotid artery revascularisation procedure in 2021.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dialled Rajinikanth's wife Latha Rajinikanth to enquire about the superstar's health and wished him a speedy recovery. Tamil Nadu Governor R. N. Ravi and state Chief Minister M. K. Stalin have also wished Rajinikanth a speedy recovery.
