Sathyaraj has clarified the longstanding rumours of a fallout with Rajinikanth, which allegedly stemmed from the 90s after their successful collaboration in Mr. Bharath. These speculations were fueled further by Sathyaraj’s speech during a protest against the Karnataka government, perceived by some as a critique of Rajinikanth. However, Sathyaraj recently addressed these rumours in an interview with Indiaglitz, asserting there is no issue between him and Rajinikanth.

Sathyaraj clarified rumours about his rift with Rajinikanth

Sathyaraj revealed he was initially offered roles in Rajinikanth’s films Sivaji and Enthiran but declined as he felt the roles did not offer significant scope. He was offered the role that eventually went to Danny Denzongpa in Enthiran. He said, "After I turned a hero (he started his career doing villain roles), I was approached for two Rajinikanth films. The first one was Sivaji and the other was Enthiran. I was approached to play the role of Danny Denzongpa (the evil scientist who ends up corrupting Chitti Robo). I wasn’t satisfied with both roles. Otherwise, what problems do we have?"
