Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2 is finally all set to hit theaters. Ahead of the film’s release, a grand audio launch event was held on Sunday, June 2, with the entire team present. The event took place at Chennai’s Nehru Indoor Stadium, where all the songs were unveiled, complemented by a stellar performance from Anirudh Ravichander. Additionally, Shruti Haasan surprised everyone by singing some of her father Kamal Haasan’s hit songs.

Shruti Haasan shared a series of pictures and a video from the audio launch event. The opening image shows her on stage with a microphone, followed by a picture with music composer Anirudh Ravichander. The highlight was a video in which Shruti walks towards her father in the audience, touches his feet, hugs him, and then returns to the stage.

In her heartfelt caption, Shruti dedicated the performance to her father, Kamal Haasan. She wrote, “What a night. I was so honored to perform a tribute to Kamal Haasan, my dear Appa, at the massive Indian 2 audio launch! Always happy to see him smile when I sing because so much of why I am the musician I am today is because of him.”

Shruti also gave a shout-out to her talented band members, acknowledging their hard work in putting together a new set of songs honouring her father's remarkable musical history in cinema. She expressed her gratitude, saying, “A giant shout out to my incredibly talented band that worked tirelessly for us to put together this newly produced set of songs honoring some of dad's incredible musical history in cinema. Thank you.”

She concluded her note by wishing the entire Indian 2 team great success and praised Anirudh Ravichander for his exceptional music, stating, “Wishing the entire team of Indian 2 the best of the best of success and Anirudh Ravichander you kill it every single time with your incredible music! You are pure and the soundtrack is beyond!”

Indian 2 is scheduled to release on July 12 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
