Star, the recently released Tamil film featuring actor Kavin in the lead role, has now made its OTT debut. The film is available to stream on Prime Video in Tamil language. Directed by Elan, who previously debuted with the romantic drama Pyaar Prema Kadhal, Star marks his second directorial project.

The film's cast includes Preity Mukundan, Lal, Aaditi Pohankar, and Geetha Kailasam, with a special appearance by director Vetrimaaran as himself. The music is composed by the celebrated Yuvan Shankar Raja, who also scored Elan's debut film. Ezhil Arasu K serves as the cinematographer, Vinoth Raj Kumar N as the art director, and Pradeep E Ragav handled the editing.

Released in theaters on May 10, Star received mixed to positive reviews, with particular praise for Kavin's performance. Initially, the film was launched with actor Harish Kalyan in the lead, and promotional posters featured him as various iconic film characters. However, Kavin eventually replaced Harish Kalyan for reasons that remain undisclosed.
