Kanguva Postponed: Work on Suriya's pan-India film Kanguva is complete. Meanwhile, rumours doing the rounds have suggested that it might get postponed beyond Dussehra. On Sunday, the same was confirmed by the film's lead star Suriya. 

What is the reason behind Kanguva getting delayed?

According to the reports, at the audio launch event of Meiyazhagan, Suriya officially announced that Kanguva is postponed. He said, "For over two and a half years, more than 1000 people have worked hard for Kanguva just to present a special film in Tamil cinema.”

He showered praises on Rajinikanth and said, “On October 10, ‘Vettaiyan’ is coming. We should give way to the film out of respect. He [Rajinikanth] is senior to me. He came to act when I was born. He has been an identity of Tamil cinema for over 50 years. I think it’s best if Superstar’s film comes out first. I believe you will be with me.”

The main reason behind this is to avoid a clash with Vettaiyan, another big pan-India release, starring Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil and Amitabh Bachchan.

All about Kanguva

The film is backed by UV Creations and Studio Green also features actor Disha Patani. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. In the upcoming film, Bobby Deol will play the antagonist. He will essay the character named Udhiran in the movie. It will be released in 3D in 10 different languages. 

Kanguva promises a raw, rustic, and new visual experience to the audience with never-before-seen action sequences on a massive scale.

In the movie, Suriya will play a double role. This is one of the reasons that the film has stoked curiosity among his fans. The film shows the story of two different eras, pre-historical and present era and the makers have ensured the scale and the execution in these two timelines comes as a visual delight for the audiences.
