Thalapathy 69 Makers Announce Vijay's Final Film, Fans Celebrate GOAT Actor's 'One Last Dance'

Thalapathy Vijay is basking in the success of his recent release GOAT which hit the big screens on September 5, and soon became one of the highest-grossing Tamil films with ₹300 crore worldwide collection. Following this success, Vijay is already preparing for his next and final film before he transitions into politics. On Friday, September 13, the makers of Thalapathy 69 confirmed that Vijay has officially signed on for his last film. KVN Productions, who will produce the project, released a heartfelt video tribute to announce the news. 

KVN Production announces Thalapathy Vijay’s last film

On Friday morning, KVN Productions dropped a hint on their X handle about producing Vijay’s final film. They initially shared a compilation of iconic scenes from Vijay’s hit movies, carefully avoiding showing his face, with the caption: “5 mani-ku sandhippom nanba nanbi. We are happy to announce that our first Tamil film is...”

A few hours later, they posted again, saying, “He is a celebration. Even the celebration has its own history. See you all at 5:00 PM.”

By the evening, they finally revealed with a video and a note writing, “Un ratham en ratham verae illai.. Uthirathil vithaithayae anbin sollai. The love for Thalapathy. We grew up with your films, and you’ve been a part of our lives every step of the way. Thank you, Thalapathy, for entertaining us for over 30 years. #Thalapathy69 Project announcement drops tomorrow at 5 PM (sic).”

They shared a video compilation of Vijay interacting with his fans over the years, alongside clips of fans talking about their connection to his films. KVN Productions confirmed that the official project announcement would be made on Saturday at 5 PM.

Netizens excited about Vijay’s ‘One Last Dance’

Throughout the day, the phrase 'one last dance' started trending on social media, as fans eagerly anticipated more details about his final performance revealed in the makers' video. One fan expressed their emotions, saying, “One last Dance. One more First look, 2nd look, 3rd look. 

One more First single. One more Audio Launch.” Another fan shared their feelings with crying emojis, writing, “One last dance @actorvijay na.” Many others joined in by posting clips from their favourite films featuring him, using the same term.
