Vettaiyan, starring Rajinikanth, had finally hit the theatres today, October 10. The movie is receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences. The movie might not have impressed the viewers but it seems it has ended the 'rivalry' between Rajinikanth and Thalapathy Vijay. A video is doing the rounds on the internet claiming Vijay visited the theatres to watch Vettaiyan.

A video going viral on the X shows a man (covered by his fans) sneaking inside the car near the theatres. The paps tried to capture the glimpse but nothing was visible inside the car. However, netizens claim that he was Vijay. 'Thalapathy Vijay Watched @rajinikanth's #VETTAIYAN Film in First Day First Show itself. Die hard Fanboy for a Reason!" read the caption.

Vettaiyan stars Thalaivar as an encounter specialist whose extra-judicial ways catch the eyes of the law enforcers. According to the first reviews on social media, the film has received a mixed response from the fans. While a section of the audience praised Vettaiyan, a few shared negative reviews of the movie. "Watch Jai Bhim instead of Vettaiyan (sic)," wrote a moviegoer, another one commented, "Worst Introduction scene for any @rajinikanth #Vettaiyan Movie By Transition level is beyond Hollywood.Oscar award kudra trump"

"Poor acting from Rajini, Illogical fight scenes, average interval, Amitabh Bachchan dubbing was poor," read a negative review of Vettaiyan on X. It remains to be seen how the film performs at the box office, with the audiences seemingly divided.

Helmed by T. J. Gnanavel, the movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan , Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Abhirami and Ramesh Thilak, in pivotal roles.
