Vijay's Birthday Celebration Turns Into Tragedy, Minor Catches Fire While Performing Stunts

Thalapathy Vijay turned 50 on June 22. On the occasion, the makers of his upcoming film The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) released a teaser of the sci-fi action film, giving a look at the dual characters he will essay in it. The second single from the film in late Bhavatharini's AI generated voice was also shared. The movie is set for September 05 release.
However, the birthday celebrations of Vijay turned into a tragedy for a boy performing stunts at an event. His body caught fire.

According to a video posted by Sun News, on Thalapathy Vijay's birthday, a group of people gathered. Vijay's banners were hung on the walls in an enclosed space as a minor set his hand on fire to smash bricks, seemingly as part of the stunt. It appeared to be an unsupervised act which turned tragic. The boy's aught fire and further spread. As people intervened, it was doused off. Reportedly, the boy has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Vijay meets victims of Kallakurichi hooch tragedy
Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam president Vijay on Thursday visited Kallakurichi to meet the victims of the hooch tragedy in Tamil Nadu. At least 34 people died and over 60 people were hospitalized after allegedly consuming illicit liquor in the Kallakurichi district last night.
