Vijay Sethupathi on his looks and physical appearance

Vijay Sethupathi opened up about his physical appearance in terms of other actor and humorously remarked, “I get asked this everywhere. I'm not as simple as everyone says. I don’t know what else I have to do. For me, being handsome or smart isn’t about physical appearance.” When asked about the trend of actors having six-packs, Sethupathi responded, “How many of us here have a six-pack? Let me count. Aren’t you all heroes at home? Aren’t you heroes to your wife and kids?”

He further elaborated, “I’m not against it. If there’s a project that requires it, I’m willing to do it, provided the filmmakers give me enough time. But the story has to justify it. I can’t just get a six-pack for the sake of it.”

Vijay Sethupathi on acting in a 'masala' film

Vijay Sethupathi also mentioned he’s not opposed to acting in a masala film. “I’m open to everything. As an actor, I need to justify the story if I like it. I can’t say what’s right or wrong. I enjoy doing films with songs and beautiful heroines, and I’ve done it. They didn’t always work, maybe my calculations were wrong. I have nothing against commercial films. If I find a good script and a director capable of executing it, I’ll do it.”
