Vishal says reading Britney Spears' The Woman In Me makes him 'respect women more'

Tamil actor Vishal, who recently made headlines for standing against corruption in the CBFC, is once again in the limelight after his post for youth icon Britney Spears went viral on social media. The actor, who is currently reading the singer's biography The Woman In Me, took to X (formerly Twitter), to share an appreciation post for the the singing star. In his long note, the Mark Antony star claimed that "reading Britney Spears' The Woman In Me brings out the Man" in him. He also claimed that reading the book ants the actor to "respect women more".

Vishal shares post for Britney Spears, says 'Kudos to you'

On Friday, Vishal shared a couple of photos of himself and Britney Spears' book The Woman In Me on his X handle. In the photos, the Enemy actor could be seen reading Britney's book. Along with the photos, the actor penned a long note. It read, "Well, the transformation from b/w to color is the mood in my mind by Reading #BritneySpears #TheWomanInMe brings out the Man in me. Honestly makes me wanna respect women more."

He actor further added that Britney's book has inspired him and also that he relates to most of the segment's in the book, "Especially understanding the psyche of performing artistes. Truly inspiring to read her life journey and the ups and downs she went through at such an early age inspite of being a youth icon, can relate to most of the segments in her life. Kudos to u Woman. Right choice and brave one too to narrate yourself to the world in the simplest and most understanding way."

When actor Vijay stood against corruption

A few months ago, actor Vishal, through a video addressed Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and PM Modi and informed that his team had applied for a certificate online and had to come in last minute due to some technical issue. The actor further revelead that they were taken aback by what happened at CBFC office in Mumbai.

According to the actor, a person visited the office and asked the actor to pay ₹6.5 lakh and get the certification the same day. The actor said, "We were left with no option.”

Later, the CBI registered a case against three private persons. The investigation is currently underway. Vishal was last seen in the film Mark Antony,
