Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain only recently concluded their long-standing stint in a popular reality television show. The actress recently opened up about how husband Vicky Jain had initially refused to marry her. The revelation comes after an extended period of their relationship being the subject of public scrutiny owing to their reality show appearance.

Ankita Lokhande reveals how Vicky Jain initially refused to marry her

Ankita and Vicky made a joint appearance on Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiya's podcast for a candid chat. Among several topics, Ankita opened up about her courtship period with Vicky. An interesting revelation made by the actress was that Vicky had initially refused to marry her citing their difference in sensibilities. 

Originally having spoken in Hindi, a lose translation of Ankita's response read, 'He said that he couldn’t marry me at that time, and he left because our lifestyles were very different. He lived in Bilaspur, and I lived here, and he thought he needed a girl from Bilaspur.'

Vicky Jain shares his perspective

Adding to the conversation, Vicky opened up about why he was initially apprehensive about tying the knot with Ankita. One of the key reasons cited by him was that he felt he could not entirely express himself in front of her. The two however, worked on their relationship and eventually decided to take the plunge. 

Also having spoken in Hindi, a lose translation of Vicky's response read, 'She never let me speak, so I couldn’t express myself. I feel that there should be a right time, and at that time, Ankita was in a state of mind where she wanted to get married, and I was in a state of mind where I wanted to get married, and at that time, we met.' For the unversed, Ankita and Vicky tied the knot on December 14, 2021.
