Anupamaa's Nidhi Shah Quit The Show Because Of Rupali Ganguly? Actor's Indirect Dig Goes Viral

Rupali Ganguly starrer popular television show Anupamaa has managed to keep everyone hooked to the screens with its interesting storyline. The show started in 2020 and has more than 1500 episodes so far. Nidhi Shah, who became a household name after portraying the role of Kinjal Shah in the show had called it quits a long time ago. The TV actress opened up on why she exited the show.

Nidhi Shah aka Kinjal opens up on leaving Anupamaa

In a recent podcast of Bakhtayar Irani and Ali Asgar, Sudhanshu Panday, Nidhi Shah and Paras Kalnawat, who were all a part of Anupamaa earlier, were called as the guests. In the interaction, the actors were asked the reason behind leaving the show and if the female lead Rupali Ganguly is somewhere connected. Nidhi Shah, who had earlier never mentioned it, she said, “No, it is not like that, she is a good actor”. Followed by this statement, she was laughed at by her co-stars Paras and Sudhanshu.

Nidhi defended and said, “What? I am not being politically correct, I am speaking the truth”. Nidhi also shared how there are two to three people on every set who can be a bit difficult to work with. When Paras said, “Mere scenes kaate gaye they”. (My scenes had been cut). Nidhi in response to this said, “Aisa too mere sath bahut ho chuka hai. Scenes bhi cut te the and kapdo ko lekar issue hota tha, hair ko lekar issue hota tha. Mere sath toh bahut hota tha ke isko kyun itne ache kapde diye." (This has happened with me a lot of times. My scenes used to be cut, there used to be issues on my hair and makeup too. A lot of times they would question why I got good clothes)

When Nidhi Shah confirmed her exit from Anupamaa

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Nidhi Shah confirmed her exit from Anupamaa, stating that it was the right time for her to bid farewell to the show. She said, "There wasn't much left to do, and it's always better to not drag a character and have a decent end to it." Shah believes that Kinjal had a substantial character graph in the show which allowed her to explore diverse tracks and emotions.

"I believe it was the right time for me to exit the show. There wasn't much left to do and it's always better to not drag a character and have a decent end to it. I also think Kinjal had a great graph in the show. I did get to perform some wonderful tracks and emotions," she said.

Anupama to make a major time leap?

Anupamaa’s latest time time will span 10 to 15 years. This leap introduces a fresh storyline, along with a new cast. The makers have confirmed Shivam Khajuria and Alisha Parveen as the new lead actors, apart from Rupali Ganguly. 

It will follow the story of Anupama's new journey as she searches for her grown-up daughter, Aadhya. Produced by Rajan and Deepa Shahi under Director's Kut Productions, it airs on Star Plus.
