The popular television show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah achieved a remarkable milestone. The show recently completed its 15th anniversary since its release in 2008. To mark this special occasion, producer Asit Modi made a surprise announcement which left fans thrilled.

Is Dayaben aka Disha Vakani returning to TMKOC?

A special event was organised to celebrate Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's 15th anniversary. Producer Asit Modi revealed that Dayaben, portrayed by Disha Vakani, will be making a comeback to the show. He said that Dayaben's character has been dearly missed by fans and her return is eagerly awaited. "One such artist is whom we cannot forget. That artist is Daya Bhabhi aka Disha Vakani. She has entertained the fans and also made us laugh for all these years," he said.

She added, "Fans have been waiting for her to come back and I promise you all that Disha Vakani will soon be back to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah."

The event was also an opportunity to pay tribute to the actors and crew members who have been an integral part of the show but are no more. Asit shared his heartfelt condolences and acknowledged their invaluable contribution to the success of the show.

Dilip Joshi showers praise on Asit Modi

Talking about the show's inception, Dilip Joshi, who plays the role of Jethalal, praised producer Asit Kumarr Modi for his vision and determination. He further highlighted the producer's hard work and persistence in keeping the show running, which, he said, also motivates the entire cast to give their best.
