Family Show Se Adult Kab Hua? Anupamaa Face Backlash As Makers Show Prem Kissing Mahi Before His Wedding With Raahi

Anupamaa starring Rupali Ganguly is one of the highest-rated show on Television. However, the series has lately been grabbing headlines for several controversies. A scene from the latest episode is now under fire for promoting vulgarity.

Scene from Anupamaa goes viral, sparks anger among netizens

In the clip, drama escalates when Prem mistakenly hugs Kavya’s daughter and Vanraj’s step-daughter during the haldi ceremony. As Prem leans in to remove the towel, Anupamaa then walks into the room, assuming it is her daughter, Rahi, she hesitates to interrupt. She later realises that it is actually Mahi which triggers her painful memories of when she had caught her ex-husband Vanraj with Kavya.

As soon as the scene went viral, it sparked anger among netizens. One user wrote, “Actually this scene n Anu still breaks heart..y to make that  appear to her.. DKP plz think outof box Enough of repeating”. Another user wrote, “yeh family drama se adult show kab hum?”. “Shameless absolutely shameless ya!! There is zero hype for shaadi so instead of releasing haldi promo they are casually using her biggest trauma like this! I am disgusted”, wrote the third user.

This is not the first time, makers are being slammed for the show. Earlier, pictures and videos of Prem and Rahi's wedding as groom and bride has been going viral.

What is the controversy around Prem and Rahi’s wedding?

In the pictures, Prem is seen wearing the same sherwani that Gaurav Khanna aka Anuj Kapadia wore at his wedding with Rupali Ganguly aka Anupamaa. 

After Anuj, now the makers have reused Anupamaa's wedding attire and made Rahi wear it. Fans expressed anger and said that they didn't had to repeat the same outfit. Post the 15-year leap in the show, several characters quit the show.
