Ishqbaaz actress Shrenu Parikh, husband Akshay Mhatre host star-studded reception, cut 3-tier cake

Shrenu Parikh, best known for her role in Ishqbaaz, Maitree, and Havan, tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Akshay Mhatre on December 21. Days after the wedding, the couple hosted an intimate reception for their close friends and family members in Vadodara, Gujarat.

For the reception, Shrenu Parikh and Akshay Mhatre wore colour-coordinated outfits. While the new bride donned a black and red coloured lehenga, the actor sported a black bandhgala teamed with matching pants. His outfit had a touch of red, complementing Shrenu's attire. Sharing the photos on Instagram, the couple wrote, "True love stories never have endings … hence ending the festivities with a star studded reception."

Shrenu Parikh and Akshay Mhatre took to social media and shared glimpses from their fairytale wedding. In one of the videos, the actress is seen walking down the aisle on Dilbaro. In another video, the couple is seen exchanging garlands. The couple's family members and friends were seen cheering loudly. For her wedding, Shrenu chose to wear an embellished red and orange lehenga while Akshay wore a red sherwani. Along with the photos, Shrenu wrote, “Taken forever. 21/12/23 #LoveAtFirstTake.”

For her mehendi ceremony, Shrenu Parikh opted for a green-hued tie-dyed lehenga adorned with embellishments and studs all over it. She styled her ensemble with a matching stone-embellished tulle blouse featuring a plunging neckline. She accessorised her look with floral jewellery, including a neckpiece, matching earrings and a hairband. Additionally, she also opted for subtle makeup, including highlighted cheeks, nude lipstick, brown smokey eyes, and a wavy open hairdo.

For her sangeet ceremony, Shrenu Parikh wore a silver intricately embellished lehenga. Her outfit was adorned with mirror detailing, studs and stones. She completed her look with an orange-hued dupatta. On the other hand, the to-be groom Akshay Mhatre, donned a brown-hued bandhgala teamed with matching pants and brown juttis.

The new bride along with her friends Surbhi Chandna, Mansi Srivastava and Neha Laxmi performed on several songs including Mera Piya Ghar Aaya. Shrenu donned a wine-coloured lehenga while Surbhi sported a green-hued lehenga. Mansi, on the other hand, wore a pink coloured lehenga.
