Khatron Ke Khiladi 14: How A Tom Cruise Joke Led To Asim Riaz's Expulsion From Reality Show

Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 has generated curiosity among TV viewers since it went on air last week. In just two episodes, it became the centre of a big controversy that involved Asim Riaz and host Rohit Shetty, Asim was expelled from the show after allegedly misbehaving with the host and other contestants while performing a task. Interestingly, the entire row has a Tom Cruise connection.

Asim Riaz mocked continuously by KKK co-contestants

Asim Riaz could not perform the first task well as it was a water-based stunt. He had earlier pointed out that he is scared of water and does not know swimming. He lost the challenge and ended up in the danger zone. However, he did make a comment that became the center of a long-standing joke among the contestants.

It was revealed by Sumona Chakravarti that Asim compared himself with Tom Cruise while performing the first task. The Hollywood star is known to perform death-defying stunts in his blockbuster movies. When questioned about the same in front of the show host Rohit Shetty, Asim clarified that the long-hair look that he kept at one point in time was similar to that of Cruise's hairstyle in one of the Mission Impossible movies.

These comparisons made him the center of mockery by his fellow contestants on the show, especially after he couldn't do the second task as well. On being provoked multiple times with Tom Cruise comparisons, Asim lost his cool and blasted his fellow participants on the show, and also called them "losers".

Asim misbehaved with Rohit and crew members

In a viral video from the latest episode of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, Asim is heard saying that he has loads of money and that he changes 4 cars every 6 months. He went on to add that he did not need the money from the show and that the buzz on the internet for KKK was because of him. He quit the show after his massive fight and was reprimanded by Rohit for his arrogant behaviour.
