Kumkum Bhagya fame Simran Budharup encountered a shocking incident during her recent visit to Lalbaugcha Raja, which started a considerable buzz. While visiting the famous pandal in Mumbai, she faced rude behaviour from the staff which led her to get into a scuffle. Following the event, on September 12 the actress shared the details on her social media. In a recent interview, she opened up about how famous pandals and temples differentiate between commoners and celebrities.

Lalbaugcha Raja staff misbehaves with common people: Simran Budharup

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the Pandya Store actress opened up about how celebrities take VIP darshan. She said, “Firstly, we went through someone so that we could get darshan easily. That is what celebrities do so that they don't get mobbed by people. Even when we were standing outside and were waiting for the person. There were almost 40–50 people who had come for a picture. So this is how celebrities go; they go through someone so that they are not mobbed by people. Which is fair, I feel.”

Simran further voiced her frustration, saying the Lalbaugcha Raja staff mistreat common people, which is unfair. She explained, “We had someone escorting us, but there was only one person, and we had to go through the regular crowd. There wasn't any special line. My co-actor, Mohit Parmar, got separated in the crowd, and the escort went to get him just as it was our turn.”

Simran was the first from her group to take the darshan of Lalbaugcha Raja. She said, “As I bowed down, I heard my mother say, 'What are you doing?' The person had her phone, and as she tried to take it back, he grabbed her hand and pushed her.”

Chod de…Media mei aa jayega: Simran Budharup recalls why the Lalbaugcha Raja staff let her go

Simran further shared, “This is what happened yesterday. When the other bouncer realised we were actors, she went behind and said, 'Chod de, actor hai. Media mei aa jayega' (Leave them; they are actors. It will be in the media). That's when she let me go. If I were an ordinary person, they would have treated me like anyone else.”

Simran expressed her anger, questioning why even common people are treated this way as devotees come to take darshan with immense hope and devotion in their hearts. She said people come there to meet Lord Ganesha and everyone has equal rights on Bappa.
