Shamita Shetty did not hold back when a troll commented on her single status. She said that being married in not her only purpose in life. It's not uncommon for women to be a target of trolling on social media but when seemingly a female user attacked her being single at this age, Shamita did not take it easy. She shared that she is very happen in whatever stage of life she is at right now and does not feel like marriage will fulfill her in any way. 

The actress and reality show star's comments on embracing life as is has gone viral on social media and she is attracting a lot of praise for being bold and forthcoming in her response to those who attacked her.

One of the comments on Shamita's post read, “Buddy Shetty 50 years have passed and there is no man.” Replying to this, she wrote, “I want to take time out to respond to this very kind lady trying to put another woman down for not being married. Kudos to you. Mission successful, FYI getting married is not my only purpose in life. Being happy and content and independent in life with gratitude in my heart always is. Wishing you a lot of positivity in your life. I hope you never try to pull another woman down again. If you have nothing nice to say to people, best be quiet.”

 Shamita's break up with Raqesh Bapat

In 2021, Shamita featured in a reality show where she found love in Raqesh Bapat. After dating for several months, they parted ways mutually. Even though they did not reveal the reason for going their separate ways, there has always been speculation surrounding them finding their way back to each other. They have never admitted to breaking up as well.
