Anupamaa, starring Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey, is the talk of the town ever since its first episode debuted on Star Plus. Since its premiere in 2020, the show has topped the TRP charts. Recently, there were rumours circulating about a feud between the two actors. Fans even accused Anupamaa’s producer Rajan Shahi of favouring Sudhanshu. In a recent interview, Sudhanshu addressed the speculations about the favouritism on set.

In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Sudhanshu reacted to the rumours of quitting Anupamaa. The actor said he had never even thought about leaving the show. After he has put so much effort into the character of Vanraj Shah for now he wants to enjoy the success of the show. 

Further addressing the accusation of favouritism from producer Rajan Shahi, Sudhanshu said, “If I got so much importance from Rajan, who is my old and good friend, and if we had so much closeness and love then I myself would have played the role of Anupamaa. I believe Rajan Shahi is a very sorted producer and a human being and he will never compromise on his show for any emotional reason.”

The actor added, “This is extremely wrong that he favours me. If that was the case then I would have taken advantage of it, I would have asked him to give me work all 30 days and pay me for all 30 days and if that cannot happen then remove Rupali and I will play the role of Anupamaa.” 

Sudhanshu talks about the feud rumours with Rupali Ganguly

Previously, Sudhanshu has also opened up about the feud rumours with his Anupamaa co-star Rupali. The actor stated that disagreements concerning situations might arise with anyone while they are working on sets. He claimed to have argued with numerous persons on multiple occasions. However, since he and Rupali were the lead actors, the situation was exaggerated.
