Divyanka and Vivek Dahiya travelled to Europe to celebrate their wedding anniversary with a romantic getaway. The couple has been sharing several glimpses of the picturesque locations on their trip. Vivek took to his Instagram stories to share a video of a car with broken videos sharing the news of the burglary.

Vivek shared glimpses of the shattered glass that confirmed that someone had broken in. He added that they had kept their document, including passport, cash, their luggage as well as the shopping they did in the past 15 days in the car on the assurance of the hotel staff that it would be safe. He added that the hotel staff has not helped them thereafter and now they need a way to return home. In an interview with a media organisation, he shared that a complaint was lodged at the local police station which refused to help the couple and dismissed the case by citing the absence of a CCTV camera on location. Divyanka and Vivek have now sought the help of embassies to facilitate their return home.

Soon after the incident, Yeh Hai Mohabattein fame Divyanka Tripathi took to her Instagram stories to urge people to help them instead of putting blame. The actress shared a statement which read, “The car was parked in a secured resort property when the break-in happened. Please do not trouble us by suggesting how the care should have been taken. The resort knew about the ‘luggage in the car’ status and they were cool about it. This can happen to anyone…but I hope it doesn't.” She added, “Be of help if you can, or empathise. If that's seemingly difficult…please go ahead doing your business." Previosuly, Divyanka had confirmed that both her and Vivek are safe and have not suffered any physical harm.
