There were many factors that contributed to the success of first part, including the film’s soundtrack which had hit songs like Srivalli, Oo Antava and Saami Saami. Besides featuring Rashmika Mandanna in a pivotal role, the film also marked the Telugu debut of Malayalam star Fahaadh Faasil.

Pushpa was such a resounding success that a few weeks after the original’s release, the makers decided to release the film in Hindi dub as well.
