Chiranjeevi starrer Indra all set to premiere on television after over a decade, see details

Chiranjeevi's 2002 film Indra is all set to premiere on the small screen -- televsion, after a long gap of over 10 years. To reasons best known to the makers, the film despite having released two decades ago, didn't make it to the TV sunce 2014. All this while Gemini TV owned the satellite rights of the film.

Indra to premiere on TV

It's going to be a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for all Chiranjeevi fans as one of his famous films Indra is all set to premiere on television on December 17 on Zee Telugu at 05:30 PM IST. The announcement came after the satellite rights of the film was bought by the Zee group. The movie had created a buzz around its release in 2002 with people going gaga over the megastar's dance moves and diaglogues.

What more do we know about Indra?

Indra, directed by B Gopal, starred megastar Chiranjeevi and Sonali Bendre in the lead roles. Other than the leading stars, the film also featured Aarthi Agarwal, Sivaji, Mukesh Rishi and Prakash Raj in important roles. The film hit theaters on July 24, 2002, becoming an instant hit.

The film was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 10 crores and earned over Rs 24 crores. The film was lated dubbed and released in Tamil and Hindi titled Inhiran and Indra: The Tiger, respectively.
