Guntur Kaaram: Producer promises special surprise for Mahesh Babu fans, hints at key action sequence

Mahesh Babu is currently gearing up for the release of his latest project - Guntur Kaaram. The Trivikram Srinivas directorial is slated for a theatrical release on January 12, in a massive five-way Sankranti box office clash. Producer Naga Vamsi, who has been rather active in engaging with the audience about the film's updates, has another interesting tidbit to share.

Guntur Kaaram to feature a showdown between two 'superstars'


Producer Naga Vamsi has an interesting update to share about the film as it inches closer to its theatrical release date of January 12. As per a 123Telugu report, Naga Vamsi has promised a nail-biting action sequence int he first half of the film. What's more, the sequence in question will be akin to watching a full-fledged showdown between two ‘superstars’. This is being taken as a reference to Mahesh Babu's father, the late Superstar Krishna.

He said, "I haven’t revealed this till now. There will be a fight sequence in the first half where you will get the feeling of watching two Superstars in a single frame. I assure you that you will have a blast in the theatres." Incidentally, Guntur Kaaram marks Mahesh Babu's return to the silver screen after a year long hiatus, his last release having been 2022 film Sakaru Vaari Paata, written and directed by Parasuram.

Guntur Kaaram is a contendor for the massive Sankranti box office clash


Guntur Kaaram will release in theatres on January 12. The same day will also see the theatrical release of Prashanth Varma's Teja Sajja led fantasy film Hanu Man and Nag Ashwin's Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone led pan-India project Kalki 2898 AD.

January 13 is reserved for Karthik Ghattamaneni's Ravi Teja film Eagle and Venkatesh's Saindhav. Finally, January 14 is reserved Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga.
