Guntur Kaaram vs Hanu Man: Teja Sajja recalls playing Mahesh Babu's son ahead of box office clash

Teja Sajja and Mahesh Babu will be clashing at the box office with their respective releases, Hanu Man and Guntur Kaaram, come Sankranti weekend.

Teja Sajja is currently gearing up for the release of his big banner project, Hanu Man. The fantasy action flick, directed by Prashanth Varma, is set up for a definitive box office clash with Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram. This box office clash is more interesting considering the fact that the two actors have shared screen space, way back in 2000.

When Teja Sajja played Mahesh Babu's son


For the unversed, Teja Sajja has been a child actor before transitioning into headlining films. When Sajja was all of six years old, he had featured in 2000 release Yuvaraju. Yuvaraju features Mahesh Babu in the lead with Sajja essaying the role of his son. For the unversed, Sajja will now be clashing at the box office with Mahesh Babu come January 12 - the release date for Prashanth Varma's Hanu Man and Trivikram Srinivas' Guntur Kaaram.

Sharing a fan post making this reflection, Teja Sajja called the eventuality a 'dream'. Expressing his respect for Mahesh Babu, Teja Sajja further enunciated how there is no competition from his end directed at the Guntur Kaaram star as he respects him too much and has always referred to him as 'Sir'.

Guntur Kaaram is not the only film Hanu Man will be clashing with


The Sankranti weekend is a major one for the Telugu film industry which will be seeing through the release of four back to back star-studded projects along with a pan-India release. While Guntur Kaaram and Hanu Man will release on January 12, January 13 is reserved for the Karthik Ghattamaneni helmed Ravi Teja film, Eagle. January 14 will see the release of Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga.

Additionally, Nag Ashwin's pan-India project, Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan among others, will also be releasing on January 12.
