Hi Nanna team celebrates the success of Nani-Mrunal Thakur starrer | PHOTOS

The makers of Telugu film Hi Nanna recently got together for a celebration party, to mark the box office success of their movie. The Nani-Mrunal Thakur starrer, which hit the theatres worldwide on December 7, garnered ₹ 72 crore gross at global box office.  The celebratory event was held on December 27, which was attended by the film’s primary cast along with other crew members.

The production house shared a few photos on their official social media page, with the statement, “"Here's to the moments that make success all the more sweet. A glimpse into Team HiNanna's success party yesterday was filled with fun, memories, and blockbuster celebrations."

Hi Nanna revolved around a father-daughter duo, where one day the father decides to narrate to his daughter the story of her missing mother, which eventually leads him to finding love in a wholly different form. 

Besides a positive box office performance, Hi Nanna also received glowing reviews from critics for its sensitive portrayal of relationships, and performances by the lead cast, esp. Nani. Made on a budget of 50 crores, Hi Nanna was directed by debutant filmmaker Shouryuv who has also penned the script for the film. 

Hi Nanna to have its OTT premiere soon?

Recently, it was also announced that the OTT streaming rights for Hi Nanna have been acquired by Netflix. The makers have not announced the OTT premiere date yet, although the film is expected to hit the said OTT platform in January next year. 

Nani’s upcoming projects include Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, where the Natural star reunites with his Ante Sundaraniki director Vivek Athreya. Besides Nani, the film also stars Jigarthanda Double X actor SJ Suryah  and Priyanka Atul Mohan in prominent roles.
