Telugu film sensation Jr NTR made a poignant pit stop today as he paid a visit to the auspicious Sri Krishna Matha in Udupi, accompanied by his mother and stars Rishab Shetty, Prashanth Neel. Their arrival at Mangalore airport caused a stir among fans and sparked speculation about the casting for NTR31 on social media.
Jr NTR visits Udupi's Shri Krishna Matha Temple
Telugu actor Junior NTR visited the Sri Krishna Matha in Udupi on Saturday, August 31. RRR star went to the temple with his mother, Rishab Shetty, and Prashanth Neel. During the visit, Jr NTR and his mother received blessings from Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji, the head of Puttige Matha and the current presiding Swamiji of the Udupi Sri Krishna Matha. They were given the Anugraha Mantrakshate and initiated into the Kotigeeta Lekhana Yajna Deeksha.
Many videos and photos of them went viral on the internet. In one such video shared on X, Junior NTR, Rishab Shetty, and Prashanth Neel are seen at the Udupi Shri Krishna Matha Temple, accompanied by his mother, Shalini Nandamuri, as they sought the blessings of Sri Krishna Mukhyaprana.
In the viral photos, Jr NTR is shown worshipping the deity with his mother and wife, while Rishab Shetty appears in the background. Another photo features Junior NTR and Rishab Shetty laughing together over prasad.
Fans going gaga with excitement over these pictures, flooding the comments with praise. One user called it ‘today’s internet winner.’ Meanwhile, some are speculating about a possible collaboration for NTR31 between Rishab Shetty and Jr NTR, with comments like ‘can’t wait to see them together.’ Although no official announcement has been made, rumours are swirling high.
Jr NTR fulfils his mother's long-standing dream
Jr NTR also shared a picture with his mother, mentioning that she had long dreamed of taking him to Udupi to receive blessings from Sri Krishna, her hometown. This was a wish she had held for 40 years, and he managed to fulfil it just before her birthday.
The Subbu actor wrote, "My mother’s lifelong dream of bringing me to her hometown of Kundapura and seeking darshan at Udupi Sri Krishna Matha has finally come true! Making it happen just before her birthday on September 2nd is the best gift I could give her. Thanks to @VKiragandur sir and my dear friend Prashanth Neel for helping make this possible. A special thanks to my friend @rishabshettyofficial, whose support made this moment truly special (sic)."
Jr NTR took some time from the busy schedule with his upcoming highly anticipated film Devara: Part 1, co-starring Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor which is set to release in September 27.
