Kalki 2898 AD Producer Ashwini Dutt Is Touched By Amitabh Bachchan's Gesture, Says 'Such Moments...'

Kalki 2898 AD makers held a pre-release event on Wednesday in Mumbai where Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan opened up about their characters and talked in detail about the movie. However, a moment that happened on the stage remained etched in producer Aswini Dutt’s memory. During the event, Big B spoke about the producer and praised him for his simplicity and humbleness. After praising him, the veteran star bent over to touch Aswini’s feet, who also touched his feet back in return.

This left the producer emotional and he penned a long note sharing how he had never seen Big B doing that to any producer. For the unversed, Ashwini Dutt owns one of the biggest production houses in Tollywood - Vyjayanthi Films – which was established in 1974. Also, he is a father-in-law of Kalki 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin.

Aswini Dutt pens a heartfelt note responding to Big B’s gesture

Taking to his X handle, Ashwini shared a note in which he wrote that nothing is “higher or taller than the invincible” Amitabh Bachchan.  “Such moments from yesterday’s event are quite unexpected and shockingly puzzling. His utmost love for me must have pushed him to do what he did. I reciprocate to Amitabh ji’s gesture in humility with his highest sense of magnanimity,” he continued.

“Few moments in life are sacred emblems of eternal bond, and such was his gesture of purity yesterday. I do solemnly salute his ultimate ethereal touch. Kudos to Amitabh Bachchan Ji – The legend of all centuries,” he concluded.

When the producer got on the stage, Big B said, “He’s the owner of Vyjayanthi Films along with his two daughters (Swapna, and Priyanka) and I have never met a more simple, humble human being than Ashwini. Every time on set, he’s the first person to be there, he’s at the airport to receive you, and he’ll ensure you’re protected, no one thinks like this.” Then Amitabh adds, “With all due respect,” before touching Ashwini’s feet.
