Kalki 2898 AD Worldwide BO Collection Day 4: Prabhas Starrer Mints ₹555 Crore In Opening Weekend

Kalki 2898 AD, a star-studded multilingual 3D spectacle, is eyeing to break the records of all the Indian movies at the global box office. In just three days, the sci-fi thriller was able to gross ₹415 crore and seeing the trends trade analysts had predicted the movie to cross the ₹500 crore mark on Sunday. Well, the movie has surpassed Rs 500 crore at the global box office.

Starring an ensemble cast of Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, the movie has approximately minted ₹120 crore worldwide with just over USD 10.5 million in North America. Kalki 2898 AD is now the highest-grossing first-weekend film in North America for any Indian movie. Adding the fourth-day collection, the movie earned ₹555 crore in the opening weekend. Mounted on a whopping budget of ₹600 crore, the movie is expected to enter the ₹1000 crore club by the end of the week, as per the current trend.

Co-starring Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani, the movie saw a major jump in the (Hindi) daily collection on Sunday. The movie minted ₹40 crore at the domestic box office, according to the early estimates reported by Sacnilk. It has earned the maximum in all regional languages. Adding the fourth-day collection, the total now stands at ₹110.5 crore in India. Kalki 2898 AD had an overall 65.89 per cent Hindi occupancy in the 2D version and 77.06 per cent in the 3D version on Sunday. Maximum occupancy was reported in Hyderabad and NCR regions.

On the fourth day of the release, Kalki 2898 AD earned ₹85 crore at the domestic box office, according to the early estimates report by Sacnilk. The movie has witnessed a 31.78 per cent growth in the daily collection as compared to the third day. For the past three days, the Telugu version reported maximum earnings, but on Sunday, the Hindi version surpassed and became the highest scorer. In Telugu, Kalki 2898 AD earned ₹36.8 crore, Tamil - ₹5.5 crore, Kannada - ₹0.7 crore and Malayalam - ₹3 crore. Adding the Sunday collection, the total now stands at ₹302.4 crore in India.

A blend of Hindu epic Mahabharata and science fiction, the big-budget film is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and was released on Thursday in six languages - Telugu, Hindi, English, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
