Kannappa: The second teaser of the Vishnu Manchu starrer was released today, March 1. The pan-India film features the best of Indian cinema including Mohan Babu, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, and Mohanlal. Vishnu Manchu takes centre stage as Thinnadu, the fearless warrior who transforms into the ultimate devotee of Lord Shiva. Akshay Kumar essays the role of Lord Shiva, while Mohanlal commands attention as Kirata. Prabhas sets the stage for an unforgettable cinematic experience with his role of Rudra. What is the tale of Kannappa?

The tale of Kannappa is one of the legendary epics in Southern India. Kannappa is a devotee of Hindu Lord Shiva. He is said to have been a hunter originally, who turned into a devotee of Lord Shiva and sacrificed his one eye for the Shiva Lingam.

Kannappa's devotion to Lord Shiva began when he discovered the vayu linga (embodiment of air) while hunting. One day, upon noticing blood coming out from one of the lingam's eyes, Kannappa, without hesitation replaced it by plucking his own eye. He was prepared to sacrifice his other eye as well, but Lord Shiva, moved by his devotion, stopped him. The Lord eventually granted him liberation. The vayu linga is till date worshipped at the Srikalahasteeswara temple in Andhra Pradesh.

The second teaser of the upcoming pan-India film Kannappa was unveiled on Saturday, and it is completely breathtaking. The teaser features stunning visuals, intense action, and a power-packed. The teaser also features glimpses of Kajal Aggarwal and Preity Mukhundhan, adding to the film’s star power.
