Dulquer Salmaan is gearing up for the release of his next multilingual movie Lucky Baskhar. In April, the makers unveiled the teaser of the movie and since then have kept the audience hooked by treating them to the songs from the movie. The movie was originally scheduled to release in July but was later postponed to September 27. However, once again, the makers have changed the release date and this time it has been preponed.
Helmed by Venky Atluri, the movie will now release in the first week of September. Dulqure took to his Instagram handle and shared a new poster which revealed that the movie will hit the theatres worldwide on September 7, coinciding with Vinayaka Chaturthi. “This Vinayaka Chaturthi, Get ready to experience #LuckyBaskhar's unforgettable journey on the Big Screens! Worldwide Grand Release on 7th SEPT. #LuckyBaskharOnSept7th," read the caption.
It will release in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi. It seems, the actor has averted the clash with Jr NTR's highly anticipated movie Devara: Part 1.
Apart from Dulquer, the movie also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary in the lead role. The film, set in the late '80s and early '90s, chronicles the extraordinary journey of an ordinary bank cashier named Lucky Baskhar. In February this year, the makers welcomed Ayesha Khan on board for a cameo appearance. Shooting for the film has been wrapped up.
Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Souianva of Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film is being presented by Srikara Studios. G.V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music for the film with Nimish Ravi as the cinematographer. National Award-winning production designer Banglan and editor Navin Nooli are also part of the project.
