Mahesh Babu Joins Chorus In Praising Kalki 2898 AD After Heavy Criticism From Prabhas Fans

Kalki 2898 AD is unstoppable at both the Indian and global box office. The movie has surpassed the Rs 900 crore mark on day 11 worldwide and is expected to enter the Rs 1000 crore club on Monday. Since the release, the movie has been garnering positive reviews from the Tollywood and Bollywood celebs and a recent to the list is Mahesh Babu. His reaction has come after Prabhas' fans criticised the actor for not reviewing the sci-fi thriller.

Mahesh Babu praises Kalki 2898 AD's team

Two weeks after the release, Mahesh Babu finally reacted to the movie and said that every frame is a "piece of art". Taking to his X handle, he wrote, "#Kalki2898AD… blew my mind away  Just wow!! @nagashwin7, hats off to your futuristic vision. Every frame is a piece of art.”

He also praised Amitabh Bachchan for his "unmatched" towering screen presence. He also penned words for Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan. "@SrBachchan sir your towering screen presence is unmatched!! @ikamalhaasan sir every character you portray is uniquely yours! #Prabhas you have carried yet another magnum opus with ease @deepikapadukone…amazing as always," his post read.

Praising director Nag Ashwin he wrote, "Soon after he dropped his review, director Nag Ashwin was quick to thank Mahesh Babu. He wrote, "Thank you so much sir...this will mean so much to the whole team :))”

The movie, which is inspired by the epic Hindu mythology - Mahabharat - is raging towards the magical milestone. After its second weekend at the global box office, the movie minted over Rs 900 crore. The Monday numbers are not yet in but makers are hoping that it earns Rs 1000 crore globally. If it happens so then it will surpass Pathaan's all-time collection.
