Powerstar Pawan Kalyan starrer OG shoot stopped once again? Makers share note

In last couple of months, 3 big films with Telugu star Pawan Kalyan were announced - OG, Ustaad Bhagat Singh and Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The teaser of OG, in particular, was met with a very enthusiastic response, which led to great buzz among Kalyan’s fanbase who were eagerly awaiting the film’s release. However, with Pawan Kalyan being tied up with political commitments, rumours grew about the film’s shoot schedule and release plans being postponed.  Now, the production house of OG has officially provided an update on the same.

We’re not shooting now, update OG producers 

Taking to their social media page, OG producers DVV entertainment posted a note, “Timeline is filled with birthday wishes. Fans are Naturally Hungry. Just to let you know, we’re not shooting now, so it will take a little more time to get updates. Don’t stay tuned here.”

OG, directed by Sujeeth, also marks the debut of Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi. Besides Pawan Kalyan and Hashmi, OG stars Priyanka Atul Mohan in a prominent role. The film also features actors like Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy and Arjun Das. 

OG revolves around a ruthless gangster’s personal mission

The teaser of OG, which was released on September 3, gave a dynamic glimpse of its protagonist and the universe the film is set in. The film promisingly revolves around the life of a ruthless Gangster named Ojas Gambheera aka OG who returns to Mumbai after 10 years to fulfil a personal mission, and to finish crime bosses. 

Meanwhile, the shoot of Pawan Kalyan’s other big release Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which too was released earlier this year, received great response from Pawan Kalyan’s fanbase. Ustaad Bhagat Singh, also starring Sreeleela in a prominent role, was tentatively scheduled for a January 2024 release when it was first announced.
