Ravi Teja starrer Raid remake Mr. Bachchan to commence filming in December 2023

Ravi Teja has a big year coming up for him in terms of his films. His Karthik Gattamneni directorial, Eagle, is all set for a release on January 13, also part of a potential four-way box office clash. Latest reports now suggest that with just a few days in the year left to go, the Mass Maharaja will be commencing filming for yet another future release of his.

Ravi Teja to begin shooting for Mr. Bachchan

Earlier in December, Ravi Teja announced his latest project - Mr. Bachchan - Naam Toh Suna Hoga, complete with a first look. Now, as per a 123Telugu report, the film will commence its first leg of shoot in December of 2023 itself. The report sets the date of the Ravi Teja starrer's filming commencement, at December 28.

What's more, the cast and crew of Mr. Bachchan will begin filming for Mr. Bachchan in Hyderabad. For the unversed, Mr. Bachchan is the official Telugu remake of Bollywood film Raid, which originally starred Ajay Devgn. Mr. Bachchan will also be marking the Tollywood debut of Bhagyashri Borse who has been paired opposite Ravi Teja. The production is being bankrolled by People Media Factory with music for the same being given by Mickey J Meyer.

Ravi Teja gets a shoutout from Ajay Devgn

Ravi Teja will be essaying the role originally played by Ajay Devgn in the latter's Bollywood film, Raid. Soon after the official announcement of Mr. Bachchan, Ajay Devgn took to his social media handles to express his excitement for the project. His post simply read, “This is going to be (fire) #MrBachchan”

Ravi Teja also reacted to the shoutout and it is his response which confirmed that Mr. Bachchan is indeed a remake of Raid. Ravi Teja's post read, "Thank you for the wishes, @ajaydevgn The team is RAIDing high to begin the journey :))"
