Salaar celeb reviews: Chiranjeevi congratulates Prabhas for putting the box office on fire

Prabhas starrer Salaar had a blockbuster start at the box office by earning Rs 95 crore in India, beating the first-day collection of Animal. Amid huge buzz around the film, several celebs such as Chiranjeevi and Nikhil Siddhartha, gave a shoutout to Salaar and the actors for their performance. Helmed by Prashanth Neel, the film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan in pivotal roles.

Salaar has put the box office on fire: Chiranjeevi

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Chiranjeevi penned a note to his dear "Deva" aka Prabhas and congratulated him for the day one collection of the film. He also lauded the director on his "remarkable achievement" and sent love to Prithviraj, Shruti and Jagapathi. The mega superstar concluded his note by calling the crew "fantastic".

Prabhas plays Deva/Salaar, Prithviraj essays the role of Varadharaja Mannar, Shruti is seen as Aadya, while Jagapathi Babu is seen as Rajamannar.

Prabhas is fantastic: Nikhil Siddhartha

Nikhil penned the note just after watching Salaar and called it a "monster blockbuster". He called Prabhas "fantastic" and said that every time the actor came on the screen he got goosebumps.

Sai Dharam Tej penned a note tagging Salaar as a “marvellous feat”, he said that the film makes an equal presence felt alongside Hindi and Hollywood films. An excerpt from his note read, "It feels so proud & fantastic looking back at the long way Telugu cinema has come. With #Salaar making our equal presence felt alongside a Hindi film #Dunki & Hollywood film #Aquaman, it is definitely a marvellous feat that we were hoping to achieve very long back and it's come to life this day.”

Stellar performances all around: Supriya Menon

Prithviraj's wife Supriya Menon also shared the reviews after watching Salaar. She shared BTS (behind-the-scene) photos from the sets of Salaar posing with her favourite Varada Raja Mannar aka Prithviraj. She penned a heartfelt note calling the performance in the film "stellar" and lauded Prashanth Neel for creating his own world.

Not just in the domestic market, the film has made the waves overseas taking the worldwide collection to Rs 178.7 crores, the biggest opening for any Indian film.
