Salaar makers request fans to not 'encourage piracy': Years of hard work have been poured...

Hours before Salaar's release in theaters, the makers of the film took to their official social media handles to share an important note against Piracy.

Salaar, after a long wait, and multiple delays, has finally hit the theaters. The film is reportedly made on a whopping budget of ₹300-400 crores. As the film is now available for people to watch in theaters, the makers of the film fearing piracy have requested their fans to not encourage the illegal practice. The makers took to their official social media handles, a night before the film's release, to talk about the efforts and hard work that had gone behind the making of Salaar and requested to "not spoil the experience".

'Say no to piracy'

Just hours before Salaar's release, the makers of the film - Hombale Films, as a precautionary measure took to their social media handles to post a note requesting fans to not encourage piracy. Their note read, "Say no to piracy. Years of relentless commitment, effort, and hard work have been poured into crafting an exhilarating action spectacle for you to watch and enjoy in the theaters. Do not spoil the experience. Say no to piracy! Anti Piracy Control Room."

The Instagram handle of Hombale Films captioned their post, "Watch Salaar Cease-Fire in cinemas near you. Don't encourage piracy." They also shared an Instagram handle and mail ID where fans can report pirated links to help the team avoid the illegal activity."  

What is Salaar all about?

Salaar, starring Baahubali stars Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan, hit the theaters on December 22. The film is helmed by KGF's famed maker Prashanth Neel. It is backed by Hombale Films, the production house behind films like KGF, KGF chapter 2, and Kantara. The film will reportedly premiere on Netflix after its theatrical run.
