Prasanth Neel's latest cinematic venture, Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire, featuring Prabhas in the lead, has taken the box office by storm since its theatrical release on Friday. The high-octane actioner, released in multiple languages, is on track to join the prestigious ₹250 crore club. Amidst its resounding success, the makers have unveiled the soul-stirring track Yaraa (Vinaraa in Telugu), a poignant song that plays a crucial role in the narrative.

To enhance the emotional depth of Salaar, the makers have released the heartwarming track Yaraa, titled Vinaraa in Telugu. The music video features the lead characters portrayed by Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Set in the powerful city-state of Khansaar in 1985, Salaar revolves around two childhood friends, Deva (Prabhas) and Vardharaja Vardha Mannar (Prithviraj Sukumaran). The narrative unfolds after a tragic incident in Khansaar, leading to a vow from Deva to return upon Vardha's call. Sung by Srikrishna Vishnubhotla and composed by Ravi Basrur, the song is penned by Riya Mukherjee.
Salaar collections in India
According to Sacnilk, Salaar has collected ₹211 crore in India in all languages and ₹243.8 crore worldwide. The Telugu market has been the major contributor to its box office business. The Hindi market has also shown good trending for the Prabhas starrer with three-day collection standing at ₹53.86 crore. While the film earned ₹15.75 crore and ₹16.35 crore respectively on its day 1 and 2, on Sunday, the film's business in the North saw a healthy jump as it minted over ₹21 crore, taking its 1st weekend business to over ₹53 crore in Hindi alone.
What do we know about Salaar?
Director Prasanth Neel envisioned Khansaar as one of the most intense and emotion-driven worlds in cinema. In an interview, he emphasised the importance of motives in character development, ensuring a strong connection with the audience.
Apart from the dynamic duo of Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, Salaar stars Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju. The film, produced by Hombale Films known for the blockbuster KGF, will be released in two parts, with the first part winning acclaim since its release on December 22, 2023.
