Jagapathi Babu spoke at length about the preconceived notions he had about Prashanth Neel, and how Salaar director shattered them all on day 1 of shoot.

Popular Telugu star Jagapathi Babu recently was seen in the Prabhas-starrer Salaar. The Prashanth Neel directorial had Jagapathi Babu play Raja Mannar, a royal king figure who has the responsibility to decide the predecessor to his throne. In a recent media interaction, Jagapathi Babu opened up about the working experience on Salaar, and the thing that surprised him the most.

Never felt any strain on sets: Jagapathi Babu

Jagapathi Babu was speaking to Pinkvilla when he was asked about one unique experience on Salaar sets that nobody was aware to. While clarifying that Jagapathi Babu did not have any common shooting days with Prabhas, Jagapathi Babu admitted that he was ‘pleasantly surprised’ by Prashanth Neel’s demeanour on sets as a director. Jagapathi Babu elaborated, “I thought he’ll be a little difficult and too demanding, but first shot itself, I realised that he is really cool. So, I mean, from day 1, it was a nice surprise, a pleasant one, the whole experience.”

Talking further about the shooting experience , Jagapathi Babu recalled that he didn’t feel any strain on shoot whatsoever, even though they would be working very late on some days, as late as 2-3 am.

Jagapathi Babu also shared that much after his shoot was completed, Prashanth Neel called him up to tell that he wanted to shoot a few more build-up shots with his character Raja Mannar. Jagapathi Babu recalled Prashanth telling him, “I want 2-3 days more of you, and said the film is demanding more of Raja Mannar.”  Jagapathi Babu also informed that the plot point of Raja Mannar returning to Khansaar was added at that point, long after the first shoot schedule with the actor was finished.
