Telugu Stars To Feature In Cyber Crime, Anti-Narcotics Awareness Videos To Seek Ticket Price Hike

The Telangana Government has passed an order for filmmakers seeking a hike in ticket prices and other privileges. The producers will need to submit a 90-120 second video on cybercrime and anti-narcotics awareness featuring the film's stars to avail these privileges.

A couple of videos showed Telugu stars like Jr NTR and Chiranjeevi featuring in awareness videos related to the aforementioned themes, although the one featuring the RRR star was an old one. The ads were released in collaboration with Telangana State Police and Hyderabad City Police.

CM Revanth Reddy put a pre-condition on the Telugu film industry if they want permission to hike ticket rates or do shootings. “Cast have to release a video on anti-drug abuse & cybercrime,“ he said.

Before the movie starts, two videos on drug abuse and cyber crime to be screened in theatres. CM Reddy also thanked Megastar Chiranjeevi for featuring in a recent video.

Reddy calls on theatre owners to screen awareness ads free of cost

CM Reddy also stated that Tollywood stars have a responsibility to the society that has helped them gain fame. He also praised Chiranjeevi for making a video for the government against the issue of narcotic substances in Telangana. The actor recently took part in a video made by the Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau. He asked the Cyberabad and Rachakonda police commissioners to place the request before filmmakers before allowing film shoots outdoors, according to a report.

Reddy also asked theatre owners to screen these films free of cost before film screenings to promote awareness against drugs and cybercrime.
