Tovino Thomas Spills The Beans About His Telugu Debut, Says 'Dulquer Salman Told Me...'

Tovino Thomas, who is gearing up for the release of Ajayante Randam Moshanam is likely to announce his Telugu debut project "soon".

Tovino Thomas is gearing up for the release of his movie Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM). As the release date is nearing, the actor has been busy promoting his movie which marks his 50th film in his filmography. The actor predominantly works in Malayalam films, except for two Tamil movies - Abhiyude Katha Anuvinteyum and Maari 2. Now, the actor is planning to venture into Telugu cinema and the same he hinted at a recent promotional event.

Tovino Thomas will be 'soon' star in Telugu movie

At a pre-release event, Tovino expressed his excitement about venturing into Telugu movies and stated that he is determined to learn the basics, such as language, before signing any project. The actor wants to look convincing in the movie so he is busy working on the nuances of Telugu. "I think it will happen very soon, " the actor hinted about announcing a Telugu project.

The actor further shared that he consulted with his colleague Dulquer Salmaan, who made a remarkable Telugu debut with Sita Ramam, co-starring Mrunal Thakur. "I asked Dulquer about how to make my Telugu debut, and he told me that the language is easy to learn. But I don’t find it easy right now. Still, step by step, I’ll get there.”

What do we know about ARM?

It is a period-action drama helmed by Jithin Lal and produced by  Listin Stephen and Zachariah Thomas. Apart from Tovino, the movie also stars  Basil Joseph, Krithi Shetty, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Surabhi Lakshmi in the key roles. Set in northern Kerala , three generations of heroes, Maniyan, Kunjikelu, and Ajayan, try to protect the most important treasure of the land. The movie is slated to hit the theatres worldwide on September 12,  coinciding Onam festival. The songs and background score for the film were composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas. The movie is reportedly made on a budget of ₹30 crore.
