Where Is Orry? Big Question Looms As Socialite Influencer Remains Off Radar For Over 72 Hours

Socialite influencer Orry aka Orhan Awatramani among eight people has been booked for consuming alcohol and non-vegetarian food at the base camp for the pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine. On March 15, the Jammu and Kashmir police filed an FIR against the group after a complaint was received at the Katra Police Station. However, by the time police could nab them, the group fled town and crossed the border.

What was Orry's last social media update?

Once a serial poster on Instagram, Orry has assumed radio silence since March 15. It was a story posted by him on the day that stirred the controversy. In his social media updates, the29-year-old shared that he has landed in Jammu and Kashmir and also posted a selfie after taking blessings at the Vaishno Devi shrine.

He then shared a video from a local eatery that offered only vegetarian options, but he was heard asking for an egg sandwich. In the subsequent post, his friends and he could be seen enjoying in the hotel room where a bottle of alcohol was kept on the table. Since then the police have been trying to contact him, but he remains untraceable. 

FIR exposes inconsistencies in Orry Vaishno Devi drinking case 

Republic Media Network learnt that the administration of Marriott Resort & Spa, where Orry and his friends stayed during their Vaishno Devi trip, seems to be indirectly involved in the controversy. While the hotel's manager has been listed as the complainant in the case, as per the Jammu & Kashmir police officials, the hotel was in the know that Orry consumed alcohol on their premises since March 15. However, they brought the matter to police attention only on March 16.

When confronted about the same, the hotel's IT Manager refused to answer any questions posed by Republic Media Network. The manager refused to answer any questions in the Orry drinking case and insisted that the General manager would answer the queries instead. Dogra Front activists staged a protest against Orry in Katra today and argued that the hotel should be held accountable too as they allowed the consumption of alcohol and non-veg food on their premises.
