Respiratory infections: Fluctuating temperatures and damp air can lead to respiratory issues like coughs, sore throats, and wheezing. Cold air can obstruct breathing passages and increase susceptibility to respiratory germs. Keep children warm and dry, and minimize their exposure to sudden temperature changes.

Dengue and malaria: Stagnant water is a breeding ground for mosquitoes, particularly Aedes and Anopheles species, which transmit dengue and malaria. Symptoms include fever, chills, fatigue, eye pain, and rashes. Eliminate stagnant water in and around the home, use mosquito nets, and apply repellent to protect children from mosquito bites.
