Fire breaks out in Thane near Mumbai: LIVE UPDATES

Update at 4:19 pm: Due to fire in Chemical Factory between Ambernath and Badlapur, Railway Traffic on downline has been stopped from 15.53 hours beyond Ambernath due to heavy smoke as a precautionary measure: Sunil Udasi, CPRO Central Railway 


A fire broke out at Thane’s in the chemical factory located in Thane in Mumbai on Monday. As per initial information, the rescue team has rushed to the site with fire engine, water tanker. No casualty has been reported so far. More details awaited.

This comes few days after a Level-3 fire broke out in a slum at Lalmati, opposite Bandra Fire Station on Nagardas Road in Mumbai. Nine fire tenders were rushed to the spot, with people in that area also trying to douse the fire. The fire had reportedly broken out close to Bandra reclamation, underneath a flyover. A team of firefighters have been trying to douse it from above.

8 water tankers, 9 Fire Engines, DFO, ADFO & other staff were rushed to the site.
